Element Commercial Real Estate is thrilled to introduce Chris Maina as our new Development Associate! As Element continues to expand its work with non-profit, public sector, and for-profit clients on their development projects, we take pride in our ongoing growth and in adding new skill sets and expertise to our team.
Chris graduated from UW-Madison in 2022 with a degree in Economics. Prior to joining Element, Chris worked as a capital markets analyst for Jones Lang Lasalle. At JLL, he was responsible for underwriting multi-family and mixed-use opportunities across the upper Midwest. His valuations consisted of financial analysis and operational recommendations, while clients ranged from local private developers to large public institutions. Chris's experience transcends market-rate and affordable properties, culminating in over $500M in commercial valuations.
As a Development Associate for Element, Chris will work directly with our Director of Development, providing essential support across the many stages of the development process, from initial due diligence through construction and financing closeout. He has already immersed himself in several of our early stage development projects.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering, exercising, and reading.
